Aletha King

Marion Aletha M. King, 83, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 9:10 P.M. at Whispering Oaks. Aletha was born August 1, 1924 the daughter of Charles & Eva (Cooper) Jack. She married Earl King on May 6, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri and together they were blessed with over 58 years of marriage until his death on December 24, 2001. Aletha worked along side her husband Rev. Earl King as they pastored several area churches. She was a member of 3rd Baptist Church. Survivors include: Four sons; Earl L. King of Bluford Steven J. King of Marion Bryan R. King of Seoul, Korea Michael E. King of Mt. Vernon Daughter-in-law Mary Chenault of Marion Eleven grandchildren; Sheri Wright Conan King Bo King Becky Jo King Bobby King Nicole King Sara Phillips Matthew King Michael King Amber Odle Quinton King Three great grandchildren; Kristin Wright Jesse Fisher Aleigha Odle Preceded by; Parents, Husband - Earl King, Son - Samuel King, Grandson - Aaron King, Daughter-in-law - Jama King, Sister - Noreen Browning, Brother - Eulis Jack and Infant Twin Brothers Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Art Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
