Alma Lavon Neber

ALMA LAVON NEBER, age 72, of Marion, passed away at 1:07pm on Friday, September 23, 2011 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Alma was born in Marion on May 30, 1939, the daughter of Charles and Lillian (Foster) Boyer. She married Jimmy Neber in Marion on September 7, 1962. Together, they have shared forty-nine years of marriage. He survives in Marion. Alma worked as a wholesale roofing salesperson for Marion Metal Roofing and most recently worked at Kaesers. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband- Jimmy Neber of Marion Two sisters- Mae Simmerman and Betty Wells of Marion Six nieces and three nephews Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Monday, September 26, 2011 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Ivan Ryan officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be held from 11-1pm on Monday at the funeral home.
