ALTA HAGLER LAVENDER
Herrin - Alta Mae Hagler Lavender, 96, died at 9:00 a. m. on Friday, July 26, 2002 at the home of her daughter.
Mrs. Lavender was born May 23, 1906 in Caldwell, Kentucky to Charlie and Margaret Rickerts Fletcher.
She married Clyde Lavender in l965. He died January 5, l972.
She was a seamstress and worked at the Pinckneyville Dress Factory and the Good Luck Glove Company and Jacket Factory in Murphysboro. She was a Protestant. She was a member of the United Garment Workers Union. She was a grandmother to six generations of her family.

Her parents, husband, one daughter, Pauline Dixon, brother, Cordie Fletcher and two sisters, Hatti Martin and Esma Scarbrough, one great grandchild and one great, great grand child preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, July 29, 2002 at Johnson Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin, IL. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Blairsville Cemetery.
