Herrin- Amara Divine Simpson, 7 months, infant daughter of Artie Simpson & Crystal Johnson passed away at 12:45 AM, Friday, January 26, 2007 at St. Louis Childrens Hospital. Amara was born with a full head of hair on June 18, 2006 in St. Louis, MO to Artie Simpson of St. Louis and Crystal Johnson of Herrin. Amara enjoyed smacking her lips with Mommy and Grandmas lip gloss and soaking in the world with her beautiful big eyes. She could bat her lashes and loved blowing kisses to her family. She will be dearly and deeply missed. Survivors include: Mommy- Crystal Johnson of Herrin Daddy- Artie Simpson of St. Louis Maternal grandmother- Kim Childress & husband Steven of Herrin Maternal grandfather- Lacy Morgan & wife Gerda of Goreville Maternal great grandfather- Gus Johnson of Marion Maternal great grandmother- Sue Johnson of Herrin Aunts & uncles- Stephanie Beck of Marion Maria Childress of Herrin Michelle Johnson of Marion Sara Childress of Herrin Joshua Childress of Johnston City Angela Childress of Herrin Nieces & nephews- Lexis Johnson Kayla Beck Austin Beck Michael Childress She was preceded in death by her uncle- Steven Childress. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 1, 2007 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Pastor Todd Greiner will officiate. Burial will follow at Freedom Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service Thursday at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Memorial donations may be made to the family and will be accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home/ 800 N. Market St/ Marion, IL 62959.
