Amber T. Jarvis

Herrin- Amber T. Jarvis, 41, of Herrin, died at 5:10 PM, Thursday, September 10, 2015 at her home in Herrin. Amber was born on November 9, 1973 in Decatur, Illinois to Deborah Bryant. She began her career working for the Maytag Corporation in Herrin. Once the plant closed, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and began working with the homeless and children’s programs in areas of Georgia. She was a Christian and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends when she was able. Survivors include- Daughter- Taylor Jarvis of Marion Daughter- Morgan Jarvis of Herrin Grandchildren- Zane Kennedy and Paxton Devardo of Marion Grandparents- Thomas & Ravola Bryant of Herrin Brother- Thomas Bryant of Energy She was preceded in death by her mother. A private memorial service celebrating the life of Amber Jarvis will be held at a later date. Cremation and memorial services were arranged by Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
