Anita Kay Polinski

Anita Kay Polinski, age 79, of Herrin, Illinois, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023 at her home in Herrin, Illinois.

Anita was born April 26, 1943 in Marion, Illinois, a daughter of Denzil and Mary Geneva (Cox) Edwards.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law- Davilyn Kay and James Michael Showalter of Herrin, IL; one sister-in-law, Norma Jean Edwards; niece, Tammy (John) McArthur, nephew Sean (Grace) McArthur, great nephew Rhett McArthur, special family friend Marie Earhart, and numerous cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Denzil Lloyd and Mary Geneva (Cox) Edwards and one brother, Jimmy Lynn Edwards.

As per her wishes, no services will be held at this time. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home is assisting the family with final arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made directly to the family.
