Crab Orchard- ANNA E. WILLIAMSON, age 90, of Crab Orchard, passed away peacefully at 6:50pm on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at her daughters residence in Marion.
Anna was born November 27, 1918 in Bloomfield, IL, the daughter of Ward and Letha (Haden) Gray. She married William P. Williamson in East St. Louis on May 14, 1946. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2000.
Mrs. Williamson was a member of the Crab Orchard United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and worked briefly at Continental Can Company in East St. Louis, where she met her husband. Anna volunteered at the Caseyville Lions Club for several years, especially applying her quilting skills to raise money for childrens causes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers- Josh, Donald, Milton, and Wayne Gray, sister- Alice Sudmeire, Grandson- Michael Keeney, and one great grandson- Will Harris.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Cecil Atchison officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
A visitation will be held from 11-12pm on Monday, March 2, 2009 at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, IL, where interment will follow.
