Anna Marie McCollum

Herrin- ANNA MARIE McCOLLUM, age 80, of Herrin, passed away at 11:20pm on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at Herrin Hospital. Anna Marie was born in Herrin on January 14, 1927, the daughter of John and Eleanor (Waltz) Bione. She married Leslie McCollum, Jr. at the United Methodist Church in Herrin on November 25, 1947. Together, they shared fifty-eight years of marriage, until his death on November 18, 2006. Mrs. McCollum was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin and a member of the Herrin Senior Citizens. Survivors include- Two Daughters- Denise A. McCollum- Chicago Stephanie S. (McCollum) Tetzlaff- Marion Two brothers- John Bione- Thompsonville, IL Gary Bione- Alexandria, VA Two sisters and brothers-in-law- Linda and Bill Walker- Cherryville, NC Eleanor and John McCabe- Peoria, IL Dear friends and neighbors for more than fifty years- Dr. Henry and Barbara Manfredini She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband- Les, one niece- Lisa Kay Bione, and one nephew- Anthony Walker. The funeral mass will be held at 10:00am on Monday, August 27, 2007 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. Monsignor Ken Schaefer will officiate. Burial will follow at San Carlo Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
