April Holts

April Holts, age 38, of Marion, Illinois,  passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at her home in Marion, Illinois.

April was born July 19, 1984 in Herrin, Illinois, a daughter of Paul and Sheila (Hess) Hutson. She married the love of her life, Tony M. Holts on May 15, 2008 in Benton, IL.  April grew up in several area communities, Marion, Herrin, Carterville, and Johnston City.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and writing poetry.   

She is survived by her husband Tony M. Holts of Marion, IL; her father, Paul Hutson of Carbondale, IL; her grandmother Phyllis Gulley; and two brothers, Jeremy Hess and Michael Hess.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Sheila Baseden and one brother, Steven Hess.

Celebration of Life services will be held at the First Church of God in Marion, IL at a later date.
