Herrin- Arthur Lee Leeper, 77, of Herrin, passed away at 2:05am on Friday December 17, 2004 at Frankfort Care Center in West Frankfort, IL. Mr Leeper was born on August 23, 1927 in Herrin, IL to Lee Roy and Gertrude Kelley Leeper. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Herrin. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Business Administration. Survivors include- 3 sons- Roy Lee Leeper- Chicago Area Richard Lee Leeper- Bridgeview, IL Martin Edward Leeper- Chicago Area 1 daughter- Rose Lee Leeper- Chicago, IL 4 grandchildren 1 sister- Vivian M. Freiwald- Midlothian, IL 4 great nieces 2 great nephews 1 aunt- Leona Grisko- Milwaukee, Wisconsin Preceded in Death by- 2 daughters- Marcellia Christina Leeper and Torrey Hendershott 1 Brother- Billy Joe Leeper 2 Sisters- Thelma Leeper and Mildred Leeper Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin and will be held 10:00am on Monday December 20th at the funeral home, with Rev. Don Grammer officiating. Burial will follow in Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-9pm on Sunday December 19, 2004 at the funeral home.
