Marion- Aseugene Asie Jearlds, 76, of Marion, passed away at 5:45 AM, Friday, October 03, 2008 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Aseugene was born on July 26, 1932 in Marion to Roy & Annie Frances (Emery) Jearlds. He married his wife of fifty seven years Mary Margaret Midge Clendenin on August 18, 1951 in Marion. She survives of Marion. He was a retired welder and a member of Community Chapel in Marion. He enjoyed horseback riding and spending time with friends and family. Survivors include- Son & daughter in law- Tim & Sherri Jearlds of Marion Daughter & son in law- Glenda & Terry Pennell of Marion Daughter & son in law- Karen & Harvey Norris of Marion Daughter & son in law- Debbie & Clark Short of Tamms Daughter & son in law- Donna & Jimmy Mullins of Marion Ten Grandchildren: Robert Pennell & wife Jennifer of Marion Scott Norris & wife Amy of Marion Patsy Norris of Marion David Short & wife Wendy of Dongola Amy Thorn & husband Ronnie of Tamms Lorreta Fairless & husband Marty of Jonesboro Mandy Johnson & husband Mitchell of Evansville Justin Mullins of Marion Andrea Roland & husband Clayton of Johnston City Brittany Jearlds of Marion Nine Great Grandchildren: Katie, Cassie, Abbi, Rusty, Kelsea, Brooklyn, Shea, Halle & Dawson Brother & sister in law- Everett & Juanita Jearlds of Marion Sister- Marjorie Ketcherside of St. Louis, MO Several nieces & nephews He was preceded in death by his parents, brother- Robert Smith, four sisters- Marie Phillips, Lucille Morgan, Illadean Pritchett and Dorothy White and one infant brother and sister- Roy Franklin Jearlds & Loretta Jearlds. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Sunday, October, 5, 2008 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Rev. Don Colson & Rev. Cecil Clendenin will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 5-9:00 PM, Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home/ 800 N. Market St./ Marion, IL 62959.
