August F. Gus Kruckeberg

Marion August F. Gus Kruckeberg, 93, died Wednesday, May 04, 2005 at 11:15 A.M. at his residence. Mr. Kruckeberg was born March 18, 1912 to Henry E. & Minnie (Broeking) Kruckeberg in Williamson County. He married Linda C. Kobler on April 2, 1948 in Marion and she preceded him in death on March 16, 1999. Mr. Kruckeberg was a farmer. He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ and Williamson County Farm Bureau. He is survived by: Son & Daughter-in-law Lindell H. & Nancy Kruckeberg of Ponca City, OK Four Grandchildren: Nichol Kruckeberg Lynn Marie Kruckeberg Ann Idell Kruckeberg Dawn Kruckeberg Preceded by: Parents, Wife Linda, Two Sisters Mamie Soldner and Freida Fluck. A memorial service will be Saturday, May 07, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Zion United Church of Christ in Marion with Rev. Kenneth D. Kramer officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery in Energy. Visitation will be Saturday from Noon until the time of service at the church. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion will be handling the arrangements. For those who prefer memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or Zion United Church of Christ.
