Avis Romanelli

Energy- AVIS ALYNE ROMANELLI, age 92, of Energy, passed away at 10:55pm on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at Helia Healthcare in Energy. Avis was born in Energy, IL on January 12, 1914 to Corum Churn and Minnie Lee (Roach) Beltz. She married Francis Victor Romanelli in Chicago on October 15, 1945. He preceded her in death on July 21, 1994. Mrs. Romanelli was a supervisor at the Oscar Meyer Company in Chicago. She also worked nine years for Pepper Construction in Chicago. Survivors include- Nephew (who made his home with Avis)- Joseph Kenneth Beltz- Energy, IL Half-Sister- Mae Ella Batteau- Oak Hills, CA Several nieces and nephews Avis was preceded in death by- her parents her husband one son-Tharin Elwin Manier three brothers- Elwin Whitey Beltz, George Moon Beltz, and Bearl Meathead Beltz one half-sister- Alice Vossel two nephews- Billy Bearl Beltz and Bennie Lee Beltz Graveside funeral services for Avis will be held at 10:00am on Friday, June 30, 2006 at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Carterville, with Rev. Todd Hawk officiating. Friends and family are asked to gather directly at the cemetery. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is handling arrangements.
