Beatrice Cato

MARION- BEATRICE (DOLLY) CATO, age 96, of Marion, passed away on Thursday October 13, 2005 at 3:45am at Whispering Oaks in Marion. Beatrice was born on September 15, 1909 to Robert and Betty Chandler. She married Otto Hall in Williamson County in 1927. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1932. Mrs. Cato was a member of the Christian Life Center in Herrin. She was a retired assembly line worker at Norge. Survivors include- 1 son and daughter-in-law- Tom and Carmen Hall- Marion, IL 2 grand daughters- Elesa (and husband) Mark Ballard- Marion, IL Carla Hall- Nashville, TN 1 great grandson- David Ballard- Marion, IL 1 great granddaughter- Crystal (and husband) Chuck Robertson- Marion, IL 2 great great grandchildren- Jaden and Dylan Robertson- Marion, IL 2 sisters- Edith Colp- Herrin, IL Dorothy Harris- Herrin, IL Several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband 3 brothers- Dave, Joe, and Cecil Chandler 1 sister- Madge Whitecotton Funeral services for Beatrice will be held at 11:00am on Saturday October 15, 2005 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with the Rev. Brent Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10-11am on Saturday October 15, 2005 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Christian Life Center or Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
