Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home Beatrice Chiodini-Obituary & Picture Beatrice Chiodini Herrin-Beatrice D. Chiodini, 74, passed away 10:45 P.M., Sunday, May 2, 2004 at her residence. She was born October 31, 1929 in Beaumont, Texas to Joe & Imelda (Blanchard) DeCuir. She married John Chiodini, Jr on January 18, 1951 in Beaumont, Texas. John survives. Beatrice was retired, having been an RN and an instructor in the John A. Logan College Nursing Program. She was also former staff nurse at Herrin Hospital. She received her masters degree in education from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. She was active with the Daughters of Isabella at the church. Survivors Include: Three Daughters & Son In Laws: Genevieve & Glenn Kuhn of Defiance, OH. Becky & Bob Samay of Glendale, AZ. Cecilia & Greg Porter of DelNorte, CO. Seven Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren Five Sisters: Sister Mary Grace (Sylvia) DeCuir-O.P. of Farmington Hills, MI. Sister Mary of the Sacred Heart (Evelyn) Decuir O.P. of Elmyra, NY. Thelma & Tom Bell of Fancy Gap, VA. Mary & Frank Cuccia of Warren, TX. Annette & Ray Linseisen of Wharton, TX. Sister In Law: Theresa Calcaterra of Herrin Brother In Law: John Berra of Herrin Also survived by several nieces & nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Joe and Dale DeCuir, two brother in laws Angelo Calcaterra & William DellEra and three sister in laws, Ida Berra, Virginia DellEra and Flo DeCuir. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, May 6, 2004 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church with Msgr. Ken Schaeffer officiating. Burial will follow at San Carlo Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home. Prayer service will be at 6:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to OLMC Renovation Fund or to St. Marys School.
