Marion Beatrice M. Sneddon, 92, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at 7:45 A.M. at the Eastern Star Home in Macon, Illinois.
Beatrice was born May 5, 1916 to Norman and Daisey Kirkham in Equality. She married David W. Sneddon on December 25, 1937 in Harrisburg and he preceded her in death on April 2, 1974.
Beatrice was a homemaker and was active in many community and social organizations. She was a lifetime member of the Marion First Baptist Church and was the recipient of the Jefferson Award for her work with the mentally impaired. She was a 70 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star and Past Worthy Matron of the White Shrine and a member of the Past Matrons Society.

Preceded by Parents Norman & Daisey Kirkham, Husband David Sneddon, Sister Edna Cain, Two Brothers Harry and Eugene Kirkham
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Joey Brent officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy. Visitation will be Thursday from Noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Marion Group Home, 1507 Rendleman Street, Marion, IL 62959. Envelopes will also be available at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
