Bernadine Mary Whiteside

Herrin- BERNADINE MARY WHITESIDE, 90, of Herrin, passed away on Tuesday April 12, 2005 at 1:40pm at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin, IL. Bernadine was born on May 9, 1914 to John and Theresa Miller Arnold. She married Fredrick Whiteside in Missouri. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Whiteside was a retired office worker at Sangmo Electric. Bernadine was a member of the Hurricane Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed working with the children at the 2nd Baptist Church DayCare Center in West Frankfort, IL. Survivors include- 1 son- James Howard Whiteside- Herrin, IL 1 daughter- Charlotte Ann Lind- Jackson Hole, Wyoming 5 grandchildren 8 great grandchildren 1 sister- Charlotte White Several nieces and nephews Preceded in death by- Her parents, her Husband, 5 sisters, and 3 brothers Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin has been entrusted with arrangements. Funeral services will be Saturday April 16, 2005 at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor Duane Faulkenberry officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday April 16, 2005 from 11-1pm at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be given to the Childrens Home in Carmi, IL and will be accepted at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home.
