Berniece R. Johnson

Berniece R. Johnson, 83, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 2:55 A.M. at Helia Healthcare in Energy. Berniece was born January 14, 1929 in Creal Springs the daughter of Elzie and Disie (Rose) Smith. She married James E. Johnson in Benton and he preceded her in death in 1971. She was a member of Gods House of Prayer in Carterville and she had worked as a CNA at Mattingly Nursing Home. The family would like to thank Hospice of Southern Illinois for the loving care they gave to Berniece. Survivors include; Son Kenny Kenyon of Marion Three grandchildren; Kenneth Kenyon, Jr., Tammy Kenyon and Randy Kenyon of Highland, Indiaina Beloved Cousin Mary Jean Riley of De Motte, Indiana Special Friends LaDonna Dryden and Jim Futch Preceded by her Parents, Husband James Johnson, Brother John A. Smith. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 11 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Burial will follow in Creal Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
