Bertha Lucille Helm

Lucille Helm, age 85, formerly of Marion, died Tuesday, June 19th at 5:30 A.M. in The Personal Care Center in Friendswood, Texas. Visitation for Mrs. Helm will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22nd at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday with the Dr. Jerry Ford officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Marion. She was born April 1, 1917, in Williamson County, Illinois, to Harley and Bertha (Davis) Odum. She married Hartley Helm on October 16, 1935 in Marion. Her parents and husband preceded her in death. Mrs. Helm retired from Wal-Mart in Alvin, Texas, in 1999. She was a member of Third Baptist Church in Marion. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Lee Helm from Friendswood, Texas, and Don & Pat Helm from Salem, South Carolina, and six grandchildren. She was preceded by one sister, Louise Troxel.
