Betty Ann Breitenstein-Graham

Herrin- Betty Ann Breitenstein-Graham, 61, of Herrin, passed away at 3:41 pm on Sunday, February 8, 2009. A strong fighter of small cell lung carcinoma, Betty bravely battled cancer just less than three years. Betty was born on November 15, 1947 in Cypress, IL, to Charles & Eva Kesler. Betty was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother and an astonishing friend. Betty absolutely loved gardening, cooking, crafts and garage sales. Betty is greatly missed by all the lives she has inspired Betty is survived by the love of her life, Don White and four children: Denise Breitenstein of Arlington Heights., IL; John Breitenstein and wife, Darlene, of Crown Point, IN; Clay Graham of Tucson, AZ; Destinee Ziegler and husband, Roger, of Herrin, IL; step-daughter, Diann White of North Aurora, IL. Survived by four grandchildren, Shawna (Breitenstein) Day and husband Adam of Crown Point, IN; Richard Breitenstein of Crown Point, IN; Austin Curtis Graham of Cullman, AL; Mason Chris Moon of Tucson, AZ. Also survived by her chosen grandpa, Link Hoffard of Johnston City, IL; half-brother, Kenneth Kesler and wife, Barb of Herrin, IL. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Survived by her beloved animals, Lady, Dakota and Bear - as well as her grand-dogs, Kobi, Theo, Harley, Rebel, Axle, Katie, and Bailey. She was preceded in death by both paternal and maternal grandparents. The family expresses their most sincere thanks to Bettys friends and special Nurses at Herrin Hospital for their love and support. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Roger Teal will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Buncombe. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service, Tuesday, at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
