Betty Loudene Blumenstock

Crab Orchard - Betty Loudene "Lou" Blumenstock, age 94, of Crab Orchard, passed away peacefully at 10:30am on Friday, June 9, 2023, at Angel Acres.

Loudene was born October 2, 1928, in Marion, the daughter of Carl and Hallie (McDonald) Byrn. She married Robert E. Blumenstock on March 31, 1947, in Marion and together they shared over 62 years of marriage until his passing in 2009. Loudene was a devoted wife and mother, and longtime member of Ferrell Baptist Church. She was known for sharing her Lord in song.

She is survived by her daughter- Jane Ellen (James) Wallis of Mendota, Illinois; Grandchildren- Scott (Sheila) Leppert of North Pole, Alaska, Traci (David) Manion of Mendota, Illinois, Steven Leppert of Underhill, Vermont; Great Grandchildren- Jordan (Mary) Manion of Geneseo, Illinois, Ryan (Rhikki) Manion of Mendota, Illinois, Allyson (Isaac) Hebert of Arlington, Illinois, Katelynn and Kamryn Leppert of Vermont; six great great grandchildren- Parker, Aaron, Delilah, Nevaeh, Rylynn, and Henry; and several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her son- Kenneth Dale Blumenstock.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Kenny Blumenstock and Pastor David Manion officiating. Burial will follow at Ferrell Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00am-11:00am on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
