Betty J. Emery

Betty J. Emery, 79, passed away on Thursday, July 03, 2008 at 3:10 A.M. at the home of her son. She was born May 1, 1929 in West Frankfort to Fred & Maude (Goodknight) Saul. She married Ralph Emery in Piggott, Arkansas on August 12, 1945 and together they shared over 55 years of marriage until his death on July 30, 2001. Betty was a homemaker, she was a member of Our Redeemer Church. Survivors include: Three Sons; Thomas Emery and wife Cheryl Richard Emery and wife Ruth David F. Emery Five Grandchildren; Jenny Danner and husband Anthony Rachel Butler Lindsey King and husband Bobby Ryan Emery Keeley Emery Six Great Grandchildren; Peyton and Zoey Danner Alison, Alexandrea and Isiah Butler Tommy King Three Brothers; Don Saul Richard Saul Ralph Saul Sister Eileen Adams Preceding her in dearth were her parents, husband, Ralph, three brothers, J.W. (Bud) Saul, Bob Saul and Bill Saul and a sister Dolores Conley. Memorial services will be held Monday, July 7, 2008 at 5:00 P.M. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Ray Heilener officiating. Family will receive friends from 4:30 p.m. until the time of service on Monday at the church. Entombment with be at East Lawn Cemetery. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to Marion Senior Citizens or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
