Betty J. Rich

Goreville Betty J. Rich, 79, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 9:20 P.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Betty was born in Lake County, TN on September 14, 1931, the daughter of Virgil Leon and Maggie (Locke) Nunnery. She married Harold Edward Rich in Piggott, Arkansas on October 22, 1949. He preceded her in death on November 5, 2007. Mrs. Rich was a member of the East Liberty Christian Church. She was a homemaker. Survivors include two daughters- Priscilla DeWelde of Melrose Park, IL Patty Jo and Harold Edgil of Goreville, IL Six grandchildren- Bill and Deborah Rich of Elmhurst, IL Ryan and Melissa Mellema of West Chicago, IL Priscilla Kerr of Goreville, IL Joseph and Juliana Rich of Marion, IL Roxanne Carrillo of Goreville, IL Blake and Lisa DeWelde of Grays Lake, IL Fifteen great grandchildren- Desirae, Matthew, Joseph, Shyann, Leah, Gabriella, Nicholas, Alex, Mario, Emily, Anthony, Dominic, Marco, Ethan, and Lexi Jo One Brother- Gayle Reeder Nunnery of Huntsville, AL Four brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law- Leon and Diane Rich of Marion, IL Deon and Joyce Rich of Creal Springs, IL Charlie and Toni Rich of Grays Lake, IL Jim and Carol Rich of Berkley, IL Many nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and fifteen brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, February 28, 2011 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Darren L. Wimberly officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be held from 2-5pm on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
