Betty Jane Hilliard

Marion Betty Jane Hilliard, 84, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2010 at 3:40 P.M. at Parkway Manor. Betty was a lifetime resident of Marion born June 27, 1926 the daughter of George L. and Rena (Cox) Phillips. She married Perry Hilliard on June 29, 1976 at the First Christian Church in Murphysboro and together they shared over 32 years of marriage until his death on March 10, 2009. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, the Perceptor Omicron Chapter. Betty was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Betty is survived by; Son Tim Yearack and wife Sabrina of Marion Daughter Beverly Yearack of Atlanta, Georgia Grandsons; Brandon Yearack of Marion Brent Rose of Mulkeytown Great Grandson Trenton Rose of Mulkeytown Brother David Phillips and wife Mayle of Marion Three sisters; Mildred Haseker and husband Estes of Marion Carole Sprague and husband Paul of Marion Peggy Gisy and husband Gordon of Marion Preceded by her Parents, Husband Perry, Son Terry Yearack, Granddaughter Alicia Yearack, Step-Son Tascino Hilliard, Sister Mary Lou Sackman, Brothers Bob and Billy Phillips. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Noon at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Scott Kallem officiating. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 A.M. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Parkway Manor and Dr. Suzanne Gautto for the love, care and compassion shown our mother.
