Betty Jo Emery

Betty Jo Emery, 71, of Marion passed away at her home on Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at 8:50 p.m. Funeral Services for Betty Jo will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2002 at 3:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Phemister officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be held from 12:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Betty Jo was born on January 15, 1931 to Joseph and Cecile (Bell) Green, they both preceded her in death. She married Guy Emery on September 3, 1949 in Kentucky, he survives her. Her husband, Guy, comes from a family of Eight children from Marion. She was a retired accountant for the American Nurses Association. Betty Jo was earlier a member of the Methodist Church of Marion. Betty Jo is survived by Three sons; Col. Steven R. & Carol Emery-Smithfield, VA, Dr. Russ Kevin & Mary Ann Emery-Manhattan, KS Darren R. & Tracy Emery-Manhattan, KS. Five Grandchildren; Quinten Emery-Sumpter, SC, Sean Emery-Smithfield, VA, Jennifer Emery-Manhattan, KS, Scott Emery-Manhattan, KS, Hannah Emery-Manhattan, KS. A sister, Sue Phemister-Murfreesboro, TN and sister and brother in law, Lois June & Billy Joe Hubbard- O?Fallon, MO, and several nieces & nephews.
