Betty Jo Umdenstock

Herrin- Betty Jo Umdenstock, 74, of Herrin, passed away at 7:35 PM, Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Herrin Hospital. Betty Jo was born on April 11, 1941 in Lebanon to Bernard and Elizabeth (Skritskey) Monroe. She married Terry Umdenstock and he preceded her in death on April 12, 1992. She was a loving and caring mother and homemaker who also worked in the laundry department of Herrin Rehab Center until her retirement. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Herrin and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include- Son- Bart Umdenstock and wife Susan of Herrin Son- Keith Umdenstock of Marion Son- Brett Umdenstock and wife Patricia of Marion Son- Jeff Umdenstock of Herrin 8 grandchildren 9 great grandchildren Sister- Susan Phipps and husband John of Herrin She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Family members will deliver the eulogy. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and extend until time of service, Wednesday, at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
