Betty June Mocaby

Betty June Mocaby, 77, of Pittsburg, passed away at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, July 26, 2002 at her home. Funeral services for Betty will be held on Monday, July 29 at 10:00 A.M. at the Mitchell-Hughes funeral home with her son, Jack Mocaby officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Poordo. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Betty was born on June 9, 1925 in Williamson County to George and Pearl (Welborn) Jones. She married Carl Mocaby on August 8, 1943 in Marion, IL; he passed away on October 2, 1998. Betty is survived by a son and daughter in law, Jack and Gwynn Mocaby of Pittsburg, a daughter, Joann Stephens of Marion, Seven grandchildren; Scott (Heather) Mocaby, Michelle (Shane) Beal, Cheryl (Chris) Cain, Trina (Steve) Shaw, Brandi (Jesse) Orr, Gene Lauderdale, Tara Poland, and Nine great grandchildren. Two brothers, William Randall Jones and Floyd Jones of Pittsburg, IL. Two sisters, Shirley Mocaby and Violet Richey both of Pittsburg, IL She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl, and a brother, George Eugene Jones.
