Betty K. Groves

Betty K. Groves, 55, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 5:01 P.M. at her home. Betty was born February 7, 1953 in Carbondale the daughter of Clarence Hudgens and Lucille (Grigson) Hudgens-Little. She was formerly married to Troy Groves and was preceded in death by two husbands, Frank Lamphere and Larry Shadowens She attended First Baptist Church of Goreville and she was a homemaker. Survivors include: Mother Lucille Hudgens-Little of the Lake of Egypt Three children; Danny Hudgens and wife Kristine Vaughn of Marion Tim Shadowens of Marion Lateashia Evetts and husband Robert Isaac of Buncombe Eleven grandchildren Brother Danny Hudgens and wife Connie of Mayfield, Kentucky Three sisters; Paula Burrell of Houston, Texas Gaylee Garcia of Houston, Texas Jane Ann Wall of West Frankfort Preceded by her Father, Brother Wendell Hudgens and Sister Judy Newson Funeral services will be Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
