Betty Lee Spitzner, 90, of Riverside, California formerly of Marion and Avon Park, Florida, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2010 at the Emeritus Assisted Living in Riverside, California.
Betty was born August 24, 1919 in Marion the daughter of Cecil I. Norman & Myrtle O. (Morgan) Smith. She married Russell Spitzner on June 9, 1941 in Bennettsville, South Carolina and together they shared almost 64 years of marriage until his death on May 24, 2005.
She was a homemaker, a member of the LeRoy A #350 Order of the Eastern Star. While raising her son she served as a Cub Scout Den Mother and P.T.A. President. Betty and Russell were 20 year members of the WBBCI Club.

Granddaughter Heather Barnett and husband David of Johnston City
Four Great Grandchildren;

Niece Rebecca Johnston of Riverside, California

Preceded by her Parents, Husband Russell, Son James E. Spitzner, Brother Benny Norman.
Graveside services will be on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 10 A.M. at Norman Cemetery with Dr. Jerry Ford officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the cemetery. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
