Betty Lou (Burlison) Traverso

Betty Lou (Burlison) Traverso, 67, of Dolton, Illinois formerly of Crab Orchard, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at 5:16 A.M. at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, Illinois. Betty Lou was born July 12, 1941 in Williamson County the daughter of Charles & Mae (West) Burlison. She married Fred Traverso and he preceded her in death. She was a retired teacher in the Cook County School District. Betty Lou was a member of South Park Congregation of Jehovahs Witness in Dolton, Illinois. Survivors include; Niece Mary Lou Ashby and husband Paul of Pittsburg Step-mother Earlene Burlison of West Frankfort Two Great Nephews; Eric Ashby and wife Melanie of Pittsburg Adam Ashby and wife Melissa of Pittsburg Three Great Great Nephews Brayden, Ethan, Adam II Ashby Preceded by her Prents, Husband, Brother and sister-in-law, Arvel and Pauline West, two nephews, Robert Arvel West and Jimmy Wayne West. Graveside services will be Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Poordo. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00 8:30 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. A memorial service will be held on November 15, 2008 in Dolton, Illinois at the South Park Jehovahs Witness with Brother Raymond Horton officiating. For those who prefer memorials may be made to Mt.
