Energy- Betty Rosalie DeNosky, 83, passed away at 11:00 PM, Monday, August 292011 at Helia Healthcare Center in Energy.
Rosalie was born on January 4, 1928 in Bush to William J. & Eva (Carter) Brown. She was the youngest of twelve children. She married John Charles DeNosky on October 23, 1947 in Murphysboro and enjoyed many years together until he preceded her in death on June 23, 1983.
Rosalie worked for several years at the Good Luck Glove Company in Carbondale as well at Smoler Bros in Herrin.
She enjoyed playing the piano and keeping track of all the activities of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rosalie was an avid Domino and Aggravation game player with her friends and family.
She was of Apostolic Faith.

Twin Sisters- Chloe Stone of Festus, MO and Floe Jarvis of Cambria
Three Grandsons-

David DeNosky of Ferges
John M. DeNosky and wife Jenger of Royalton
Two Granddaughters-
Caryn Pickens and husband Jonathan of Adamsville, TN
Angie Blumenstock and husband Heath of Danville
Two Great-grandsons-
Sine and Noah DeNosky of Royalton
Three Great Granddaughters-
Caitlyn and Madyson Pickens of Adamsville, TN
Josephine DeNosky of Kirkland, WA
Many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends
Granny was anxiously awaiting the birth of two additional great grandchildren to the families of Bryan and Nicole DeNosky and John and Jenger DeNosky.
She was preceded in death by her parents: husband-John Charles DeNosky, first born son- Charles Wayne DeNosky; brothers- Ralph, Theodore, Humbert, Johnny, Harold and Billy Bud; sisters- Hazels, Lucille, Lavern; half brother- Robert and half sister- Mae.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Jonathan Pickens will officiate. Burial will follow at Blairsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9:00 PM, Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
