Beverly Johnson, 85, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 2:29 pm at Marion Rehab.
Beverly was born January 13, 1929 in Marion the daughter of Orval and Mary (Sinks) Bogard. She married Richard A. Johnson on May 2, 1964 in Des Plaines and together they have shared over 49 years of marriage. Richard survives in Marion.
She had worked in the family business, Johnson Electric in Des Plaines, as an electrical estimator and accountant. Beverly was an avid reader and had an interest in the Civil War. She enjoyed traveling, camping, boating with her family and her daughters childhood friends. She enjoyed making crafts, painting and wood working with her family. Flowers and animals were a passion of hers also.
Most importantly, she loved being a mother and a wife.
In addition to her husband, Richard, she is survived by her two daughters, Mary Johnson of Marysville, Washington and JoAnn Johnson of Plainfield and one brother. She is preceded in death by her Parents.
In accordance with Beverly’s wishes a private memorial service was held at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Ivan Ryan officiating.
