Marion Bill Cadle, 82, died Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at 1:45 P.M. at Fountains Nursing Care Center in Marion.
Bill was born September 15, 1922 to William Herbert Bill and Effie Faye (Parks) Cadle in Marion. He married Lowanda Johns on April 06, 1947 in Piggott, Arkansas and she survives in Marion.
Bill was a farmer and livestock dealer. He served his country in the Army 82nd Airborne during WWII, in the European Theater. He served from North Africa to Berlin. Bill was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge Saline #339 and the VFW Post #1301 of Marion. He was a deacon at McKinney Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, a Williamson County Deputy Sheriff from 1969 1978. He served as a Director of Southeastern Electric Co-op for 40 years and on the Board of Directors for Southern Illinois Power Co-op and AIEC for 38 years.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 25, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at McKinney Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin McNeely and Rev. Kenneth Blumenstock officiating. Burial will follow in McKinney Chapel Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by VFW Post #1301 and American Legion Post #147 of Marion. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 9:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion and from 11:00 the time of service at the church. Masonic services will be performed by Saline Lodge #339 at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.
