Bill W. Rush

Marion- BILL W. RUSH, age 81, of Marion, passed away at 8:30pm on Friday, February 11, 2011 at Fountains Nursing Home in Marion. Bill was born in Williamson County on November 25, 1929, the son of Gus Herbert and Myrtle (Vaughn) Rush. He married Ann Witters in Corinth, MS on December 25, 1949. He later married Marian Wehe in Geneva, IL. She preceded him in death on February 28, 1986. Mr. Rush was of baptist faith. He was a United States Army Veteran, having served during the Korean War. Bill enjoyed golfing. Survivors include his two daughters- Barbara Horney of Vienna, IL Beverly and Buck Towle of Pittsburg, IL Three grandchildren- Christopher Frampton of DuQuoin, IL Jessica Berry of Pittsburg, IL Brittanie Berry of Pittsburg, IL Two great grandchildren- Carly Maree Frampton of DuQuoin, IL Jayci Frampton of DuQuoin, IL Three brothers- Max and Jane Rush of Elgin, IL Ted and Brenda Rush of Marion, IL Berchard Rush of Marion, IL Two sisters- Myrtle and James Tanner of Stonefort, IL Betty Elizabeth Thompson of Marion, IL Dear and long time friend- Ann Witters of Marion, IL He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and four brothers- Tom, Jim, Sam and Bob Rush. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Shorty Alsip officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion with military honors presented by the Marion VFW and the National Guard Flag Detail Unit. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
