Billie D. Cawthon

Carrier Mills Billie D. Cawthon, 76, died Monday, February 28, 2005 at 10:10 P.M. at Harrisburg Medical Center. Billie was born May 24, 1928 in Williamson County to Bernie and Ada (Stone) Cawthon. He married Betty Beal on October 21, 1950 in Arkansas and she preceded him in death on May 25, 2003. Billie was a 37 year veteran of the Air Force. He was a Chief Master Sgt and served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. Billie was an enlisted person that operated a 1,000 bed military hospital at OHare Airport. He was a chemical analyst for Abbott Laboratories and the Veterans Admin. Hospital in North Chicago. He was of the Baptist faith. Billie is survived by: Daughter Deborah & Gary Rozewicz of Lindenhurst, IL Sons: Phillip Cawthon of Waukegan, IL Marc A. Cawthon of Kansas City, MO Grandchildren: Amanda Rozewicz of Lindenhurst, IL Ben Rozewicz of Lindenhurst, IL Dany Cawthon of Waukegan, IL Gabriella Cawthon of Waukegan, IL Sisters: Louise & Earl Parks of Marion Geneva Larkin of Mexico, MO Four nephews and three nieces Preceded by: Parents, and wife Funeral services will be Friday, March 04, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Ivan Ryan officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Military rites will be performed at the funeral home by Marions VFW Post #1301 and American Legion #147.
