Billy Lee Loyd

Herrin- Billy Lee Loyd, 57, of Herrin passed away Saturday, May 26, 2007 at Boulder City Hospital in Boulder City, NV. Billy Lee was born on February 21, 1950 in Herrin to Virgil & Edith C. (Edwards) Loyd. He was a US Army veteran and fought bravely in campaigns in South East Asia during Vietnam. Once honorably discharged, he traveled frequently and lived in several locations. He worked as a mechanic and service technician at BC Paint & Equipment in Boulder City, NV. Bill Lee was a private person who treasured his independence. Those that knew him cared for him and will miss him a great deal. Survivors include- Mother- Edith C. Loyd of Herrin Sister & brother in law- Deloris & Jim Priddy of Herrin Sister & brother in law- Jeanette & Don Cogdill of Herrin Brother & sister in law- Don & Judy Loyd of Little Rock, AR Brother- Earl Eugene Loyd of Ft. Worth, TX Brother- Kenneth Lynn Loyd of Springfield, IL Close personal friend- Nancy Marshall of Boulder City, NV Numerous nieces & nephews He was preceded in death by his father. A private family service will be held at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy. An hour of visitation will be held prior to the service at Johnson-Hughes Funeral home in Herrin.
