Marion Bobbie Bernice West, 93, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at 6:24 A.M on Tuesday, October 30, 2012.
She was born December 20, 1918 in Black Oak, Arkansas the daughter of George and Clarissa Overman. She married John Sherman West.
Bobbie grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She married, had two children and lived with her family for 35 years in Evansville, Indiana. In 1992, after being widowed, she established her residence in Henderson, Kentucky to be close to her daughters family. Bobbies claims to fame were her beautiful crocheted afghans and baby blankets and her mouth-watering chocolate chip cookies.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, George and Clarissa Overman, her beloved husband of 50 years, John Sherman West, her son-in-law Dale Roland and her brother, George Overman, Jr.

Angela Overfield of Henderson, Kentucky
Bethany Overfield of Lexington, Kentucky
Step Grandson Neal Overfield and wife Rachel of Henderson, Kentucky
Three Great Grandchildren;
Ralynn and Noah Overfield, Nicholas Lee all of Henderson
Sister-in-law Joy Overman of Farminton, Missouri
Several Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 2 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Poordo. Visitation will be Saturday from Noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
For those who prefer memorials may be made to St. Anthonys Hospice. Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois.
