Murphysboro- Brandy Michelle Stuthers, 28, of Murphysboro, passed away at 6:30 AM, Sunday, April 12, 2009 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Michelle was born on May 6, 1980 in Benton to Rickie & Elaine (Shelton) Rich, Sr. She married James Stuthers on October 31, 2007 at the Jackson County Courthouse. He survives of Murphysboro. Michelle worked as a home healthcare provider for Joe Stanislowski of West Frankfort. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed reading Stephen King and crime novels, swimming and debating hot topics. She was an excellent mother who cared for and enjoyed her children. Survivors include- Husband- James Stuthers of Murphysboro Mother & Father- Rickie & Elaine Rich, Jr of Ferges Daughter- Trinity Meyers of Ferges Son- Baby James McCain Stuthers of Murphysboro Sister- Kim Whitis & husband David of Ferges Brother- Rickie Rich, Jr of Johnston City Maternal grandparents- Bud & Wanda Shelton of Benton Paternal grandmother- Novella Rich of Toluca, IL Several nieces & nephews Host of Aunts & uncles Many close friends She was preceded in death by her grandfather- Phillip Rich and brother- Chad Foster. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 17, 2009 at the Thompsonville Seventh Day Adventist Church. Evangelist Donnie Shelton will officiate. Burial will follow at Plasters Grove Cemetery in Thompsonville. Visitation will be from 6-9:00 PM, Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
