Brenda "Darlene" Chambers

Brenda “Darlene” Chambers, 69 passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 9:08 am at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.
Darlene was born March 25, 1946 in Olney Illinois, the daughter of C.E. and Melba Show. She graduated from Owensboro Senior High School in 1964, and was married to Bruce Chambers on April 9, 1966 in Owensboro, KY.
She previously worked as an administrative assistant at the Veterans Administration hospital in Marion Il, until retiring in 2003. She had recently moved to Louisville, KY after living at the Lake of Egypt for nearly 12 years. Darlene loved to cook, shop, and spend time with her friends, family and grand kids.
She is survived by her son Jason Chambers and wife Angie of Louisville, Kentucky; Daughter Dana Quinn and husband Chris of Whitehouse Station, New Jersey. Five Grandchildren: Cole and Paige Chambers, Tommy, Katie and Cassie Quinn. One Brother: David Show and wife Faye. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband for over 44 years.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, August 15th and will be held at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Ronnie Cordrey officiating. Burial will follow in McKinney Chapel Cemetery. Visitation services will be held on Friday August 14th from 3-7 pm at the funeral home.
