Bryan Francis Stearns

Bryan Francis Stearns, 74, of Marion, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at his home.

He was born Oct 31, 1946 to Francis Edward and Mary (Doukas) Stearns in New London Connecticut. He is survived by his brother Gary Stearns; daughter Bryanna Stearns and husband Bryan Mitchell, grandson, Evan; his son David Stearns and wife Faith, grandsons, Lucas and Ian.

Bryan proudly served in the US Army in the Aviation Branch retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel with 30 years total time in service. He was a Master Gardener, active in the local Garden Club, earning recognition for his wealth of information and participation in numerous projects, including the Blue Star Memorial at the VA grounds. Bryan enjoyed boating and vacationing with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Private inurnment services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home is assisting the family with local arrangements. Memorials can be made at thetreesremember.com.
