Johnston City Buddy R. Wedding, 72, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 11:45 P.M. at his home in Johnston City. Buddy was born April 17, 1938 in Ohio County, Kentucky the son of Erastus & Brenda (Wedding) Wedding. He married Brenda Stone on July 23, 1965 in Hawesville, Kentucky and together they shared 38 years of marriage until her death on July 7, 2003. He was a retired coal miner and farmer. Buddy enjoyed deer hunting. He was of Baptist faith. Survivors include; Daughter Laura Smith of Johnston City Daughter Kimberly Hudspeth and husband Bobby, Sr of Johnston City Son David Wedding and wife Melody of Herrin Son Matthew Wedding, Sr. and wife Marilee of Tallahassee, Florida Ten Grandchildren Four Great Granchildren Preceded by his Parents, Wife Brenda and an infant sister. Funeral services will be Sunday, July 11, 2010 at 1:30pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Darrell Wimberly officiating. Burial will follow in East Liberty Cemetery in Carbondale. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5 8 P.M. at the funeral home. For those who prefer, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
