Carl Neafus

Carl B. Neafus, 63, passed away on Friday, November 02, 2012 at 10:26 A.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Carl was born June 12, 1949 in Herrin the son of Leslie and Edith (Powell) Neafus. Carl had been ill for many years of his life but still found the time for frequent visits to McDonalds to visit and joke around with acquaintances. He never met a stranger. He attended the White Ash Community Church. He will be sadly missed by his family; his Mother Edith Neafus of Marion, Brothers Lloyd Tom and Rose Neafus of Johnston City, Gene and Joyce Neafus of Marion and Nephew Lloyd Paul and Lindsey Neafus of Eldorado and his beloved cat Dusty. He was preceded in death by his Father Leslie Neafus. Graveside services will be held Sunday, November 4, 2012 at 2 P.M. at Maplewood Cemetery with Rev. Ed Martin officiating. Family and friends are ask to meet directly at the cemetery. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
