Carlos Williams

Herrin- Carlos Williams, 76, of Herrin, passed away at 7:53 PM, Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Carlos was born in Kentucky to Clay and Inez Williams. He married Anna Deere on July 29th 1957, in Herrin. Carlos was in the Nation Guard. Survivors include wife Anna Williams, sons Randy and Bruce Williams and daughter Melanie Patterson, and grandchildren Cody Williams and Asheton Prichett, and siblings Mary Davis and Houston Williams. Also surviving are brother and sister-in-law and several nieces and nephews. Carlos was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Mack Williams, Lettie Ann Williams and Cornelia Kirkman. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Entombment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of service, Tuesday, at the funeral home.
