Carmen Boester, 75, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2007 at 4:42 A.M. in Fountains Care Center.
Carmen was born April 24, 1931 in Williamson County to Lloyd G. & Grace (Baker) Lewis. She married August F. Boester on October 18, 1947 in Tunica County, Mississippi and together they shared over 44 years of marriage until his death on August 29, 1992.
Carmen was a homemaker; she was a member of Zion United Church of Christ and an active member of the Womens Republican Party.
Carmen is survived by her son Frederick Boester and wife Brenda of Marion, daughter Patricia Newell and husband Dean of Pittsburg. Five grandchildren, Tabatha Booten and husband Todd of Marion, Sean Newell and wife Julie of Pittsburg, Bridgett Compas and husband Craig of Cape Girardeau, MO, Brandy Dodd and husband Jimmy of Marion, Amy Wece and husband Jason of Marion. Eleven great grandchildren, Taylor & Colton Booten, Dawson & Kalie Compas, Maddilynn & Kenadee Grace Dodd, Caleb, Hope & Hallie Newell, Coty & Nathan Wece. Sister Roberta Morgan of Marion, Brothers Roger Lewis of Marion and Carl Lewis of Longview, TX. Brother-in-law & sister-in-law Gilbert & Betty Boester of Marion, Sister-in-law Christine Boester of Marion and Brother-in-law Edgar Pulley of Marion.
Preceded by Her parents, Lloyd & Grace Lewis, husband, August Boester, Sister, Mary Lou Stokes, Brothers, Donald, John and James Lewis and infant brother Lloyd Lewis Jr.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Revs Louis Fluck, Roger Moore and Linda Coulson officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 8:00 P.M. and from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the staff of Fountains for the loving care they gave Carmen.
