Carol Ann Hudgens

October 6, 1935 — February 22, 2016

Carol Ann Hudgens, 80, of Marion, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 3:25 pm at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Carol was born October 6, 1935 in Marion the daughter of William and Pearl (Moake) Sandner. She married Glenn Eugene Hudgens on July 3, 1955 in Marion and together they shared over 32 years of marriage until his death on November 9, 1987. She was a homemaker and a member of the Marion Church of Christ. Survivors include her; Daughter – Victoria Mohr and husband Terrence of Carbondale Daughter – Valerie Burton and husband Jerry of Panama City, Florida Five Grandchildren; Cory Mohr and wife Michelle of Carbondale Aaron Mohr and wife Cherie of Lake St. Louis, Missouri Jonathan Mohr and wife Ashley of Carmel, Indiana Travis Borcky and wife Jamie of Marion Jessi Borcky of Panama City, Florida Ten great grandchildren; Aveniel, Eleanor, Johannah, Abigail, Judah, Raven, Autumn, Tori, Mazie, Peighton Preceded by her Parents and paternal grandparents. Graveside services will be Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 11 am at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Marion with Minister’s Bill Brandstatter and Gerald Cowan officiating. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery at 10:30 am on Saturday for a time of visitation before the service. For those who prefer memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or the Marion Senior Citizens Center. Envelopes will be available the day at the service at the cemetery or by mail to Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois 62959.
