Carol D. "Pudge" Sims

Carol D. Pudge Sims, 60, of Marion, passed away at 2:30 PM, Saturday, September 19, 2009 at her home. Carol was born on October 24, 1948 in Harrisburg to Clellon & Jeanet (Swanner) Sims. She worked the assembly line and was a union machinist at the Norge/Maytag Plant in Herrin for thirty four years. Survivors include- Sister- Nina Buttrum and husband Billy of Pittsburg Sister- Linda Emery and husband Allen of Sparta Sister- Nancy Marks and husband Allen of Marion Special friend and family: Audrey Ragan Lisa Johnson & Tom Watson Wiley Johnson Kari Watson Kim Ragan Nieces & nephews: Sherry and Mitch Asbury of Percy Steve and Brenda Buttrum of Pittsburg Kim and Tony Owens of Marion Karen and Chris Loyd of Oceanside, NY Jason and Stacy marks of OFallon, MO Great Nieces & nephews: Ryan and Lindsey Owens and Kailey and Michael Owens Dawson, Dylan and Madeline Loyd Alyssa Marks Nicci Brown and Clint Penny Samantha and Charles Donnell She was preceded in death by her parents. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Rev. Jimmy Reynolds will officiate. Burial will follow at Coal Bank Cemetery in Dykersburg. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 PM, Monday, September 21, 2009 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
