Carol Jenkins

Carol Jenkins, age 80, of Herrin, Illinois, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023 at her home in Herrin, Illinois.

Carol was born September 5, 1943 in Danville, Illinois, a daughter of Jack Baldwin and Helen Elizabeth (Jones) Crays. She married the love of her life, Kenneth Ray Jenkins on October 29, 1976 in Herrin. Carol proudly worked alongside her husband in their family business, serving as book keeper, secretary, treasurer and much more.

She is survived by her loving husband- Kenneth Ray Jenkins of Herrin; four children- Darin (Mary) Marlow, David (Nicole) Marlow, Danny (Kim Spegal) Jenkins, and Terri Jenkins; four grandchildren- David (Hailey) Marlow, Amy Marlow, Jenna Marlow, and Jack Marlow; one sister-in-law- Delores Sharlot; and niece, Kari Graber.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, sister- Cathy Graber, and two brother-in-laws- Ron Graber and Morris Rotor.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 19th, 2023 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 20, 2023, 11:00 AM at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Owens officiating. Burial will follow at Egyptian Memorial Gardens in Energy.
