Carole Jean Heyse, 71, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 5:30 A.M. at her home. She was born January 19, 1941 in Cincinatti, Ohio the daughter of George and Eleanor (Kiechler) Dods. She married Ken Heyse on September 22, 1962 in Westchester, Illinois and together they have shared over 49 years of marriage. Carole was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion; prior to her retirement she worked as a secretary/office manager. Survivors include; Husband Ken Heyse of Goreville Son Kenneth Heyse and wife Lauren of New Hartford, Connecticut Daughter Catherine Hall and husband Jeffrey of Angola, Indiana Son Michael Heyse of Chicago Daughter Susan Wallner and husband Martin of Chicago Ten Grandchildren; Amanda Hall of Chicago Mitchell Hall of Angola, Indiana Cameron Hall of Angola, Indiana Rachel Heyse of New Hartford, Connecticut Jesse Heyse of New Hartford, Connecticut Garrett Heyse of New Hartford, Connecticut Anna Heyse of Chicago Catie Heyse of Chicago Adele Wallner of Chicago Christian Wallner of Chicago Three Sisters; Mary Ann Doehring of Hinsdale, Illinois Gail Hannon and husband Jim of Oak Brook, Illinois Sandy Dods of Edwardsville, Illinois Two Brothers; William Dods and wife Heidi of Burr Ridge, Illinois Robert Dods and wife Elizabeth of Long Boat Key, Florida Many Nieces and Nephews Preceded by her Parents and Brother Tom Dods Funeral services will be Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 7 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Monsignor Thomas Flach officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 3 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. "ALS took her beloved laugh, her smile and her physical strength. But through her ordeal she found great courage and inner strength. Carole took comfort in the many friends and family that reached out with kind words and warm memories when they learned of her sickness." For those who prefer memorials may be made to the ALS Foundation or Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois 62959.
