Caroline P. Mace

Herrin- Caroline P. Mace, 62, of Herrin, formerly of St. Louis, passed away at 11:33 PM, Friday, July 17, 2009 at Friendship Care Center in Herrin. Caroline was born on February 27, 1947 in Bak Springs, MO to Jack & Alberta P. Gann. She married Howard E. Mace in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on May 19, 2005. Mrs. Mace was a homemaker and attended Pentecostal church. She enjoyed her family and her friends. Survivors include- Daughter- Alberta P. Vied & friend Mandel Evans of Herrin Daughter- Lillie Mace of St. Louis, MO Son- Howard E. Mace, Jr. of Herrin Five Grandchildren Sister- Frances Nation of Benton Brother- Jackie Gann of California Nephew- James Wagner of St. Louis, MO She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter- Karol Cooper and one sister- Helen Lynch. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 24, 2009 at Herrin City Cemetery. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Friends and family are asked to meet directly at the graveside. Funeral arrangements were made by Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
