Carolyn A. Moore

Herrin- Carolyn A. Moore, 65, of Herrin, passed away at 7:30 PM, Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at her home. Carolyn was born on February 25, 1940 in Herrin to George William & Mary Pauline (Hunsaker) Karraker. She married Jesse E. Moore on New Years Eve 1961 in Jacksonville, IL. He survives in Herrin. Mrs. Moore was retired after having worked as a field worker for GROW of Illinois. She was an active member of Herrin First Baptist Church. Carolyn had a warm smile and a caring heart and will be sadly missed by those that knew and loved her. SURVIVORS: Husband- Jesse E. Moore- Herrin Daughter & son in law- Cheryl & Charles Morris- Carterville Son- Scott Moore- Marion Three Grandchildren: Crystal Tubbs- Carterville Timothy TJ Tubbs- Carterville Mattthew Moore- Marion Brother & sister in law- Paul & Sarah Karraker- Shelbyville, IL Brother & sister in law- Bob & Diane Karraker- Winston Salem, NC Brother in law- George T. & Veda Moore- Marrissa, IL Several nieces & nephews Many Friends She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson; Cody Alan Tubbs. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 9, 2005, at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Pastor Don Grammer will officiate. Burial will follow at Blairsville Cemetery in Blairsville. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM- 9:00 PM, Saturday, October 8, 2005 at the funeral home.
